Speaker Guidelines

You may film keynotes for your own record of the event, but the content of our conference is how this event supports itself. Please do not upload videos to any public site such as YouTube or Vimeo. If you film workshops or conference sessions, clips posted online should be limited to 10 minutes in length.

Adhering to the guidelines and deadlines in this agreement is extremely important and will allow us to provide attendees with the most complete information, while representing your company in the best manner. If you have any questions, please contact Colleen Kraskiewicz at VoiceCon immediately.

For the Enterprise Connect San Francisco 2009 Conference we will require that speakers use PowerPoint to create a computer-based presentation. Our experience has shown that this method offers the highest quality, the smoothest transitions, and is the most effective presentation for both attendees and speakers. Also, at the request of conference attendees, we will reproduce the conference proceedings on a secured web site. Please review the presentation guidelines prior to developing your presentation.

By asking you to adhere to the guidelines below, our purpose is to meet the conference attendees’ demand for information that is consistent among the spoken, visual, and printed elements of the presentation. Therefore, the file you provide containing your presentation will be considered final—no changes or updates will be allowed after the presentations deadline. Further, no changes or updates will be allowed on-site at the Enterprise Connect San Francisco 2009 conference.

All presentations will be pre-loaded onto conference computers before the conference begins. Each session room computer will contain all speakers’ presentations. No outside computer equipment will be necessary. This process will ensure the smoothest transitions between speakers and between sessions for the entire conference. Do not plan to use your laptop computer at any of the sessions.

Please upload the file containing your presentation to the Speaker Resource Center to arrive on or before the presentations deadline: Final VoiceCon San Francisco 2009 Workshop and Deep Dives Presentations Due September 28, 2009. Final Breakout Presentations Due October 5, 2009.

PLEASE NOTE:

  1. No changes or updates will be allowed after the presentations deadline or on-site at the conference.
  2. Be sure to number your slides.
  3. Enterprise Connect San Francisco 2009 will provide the following a/v equipment: microphone, a PC with your presentation already loaded, projection screens, sound system, and projector.
  4. If you have any additional a/v request(s), contact Colleen Kraskiewicz at Enterprise Connect San Francisco 2009 immediately.
  5. Avoid sales pitches and commercial presentations. Experience shows that you will represent your company best by giving an educational, informative presentation.
  6. No sales/promotional handouts are to be distributed in the conference areas (including meeting rooms). Sales literature distribution is limited to exhibitor booths only. For information regarding the Enterprise Connect San Francisco 2009 exhibition, please contact Michael Leahy ( - 630-986-1432 x302), National Sales Manager.

Thank you in advance for the time and energy you will devote to preparing your materials. We are looking forward to a very successful conference!
