Press Registration Information

Online pre-registration for a media pass is no longer available. You can register on-site beginning the first day of the event, Monday, November 2. For on-site registration, please be prepared to show media identification and a recently published industry-related article in order to be considered for a media badge. If you are interested in attending the event with a media pass, please review the required credentials below.

Required Credentials for Press and Analysts

To qualify for a complimentary media pass for VoiceCon San Francisco 2009 , the applicant must cover the industry on a regular basis by writing regular reports or publishing relevant articles on the industry that are not solicited by an exhibiting company and are not confidential. Private consultants who are paid by an individual company are not eligible for a media pass, and should request a pass from the sponsoring company. Additional information on requirements for press and analysts is as follows.

One of the following credentials must be presented in advance of VoiceCon San Francisco before press and analyst registration can be approved:


Trade/Business Publications; Online/News Services

Reporters from industry trade publications, newspapers and wire services must provide a sample of an article published within the past six months that clearly displays authorship.

Industry Analysts

Writers from internationally recognized market research or financial institutions who consistently write for regularly published newsletters and/or reports must provide a sample of an industry-related report published within the past six months that clearly displays authorship.

Online News Outlets

An online news outlet must contain original news content above and beyond links, forums, troubleshooting tips and reader contributors, and have a readership of over 1,000 per month. Each news outlet must have a paid reporting staff of two or more and most post original, dated, industry-related news at least once per week.

Association Publications/Newsletters

Reporters from internationally recognized magazines, newspapers or newsletters produced by industry associations must provide an article published within the past six months. Newsletter reporters must have a registered subscriber base of at least 500.

Freelance Writers and Authors

Persons requesting freelance credentials must provide an article published within the past six months. Those who freelance occasionally and are employed by non-news organizations are not eligible for media credentials.

Bloggers

Bloggers must cover the industry on a regular basis and must have written on VoIP, Unified Communications, and/or IP Telephony within six months of requesting a media badge. Blogs must contain original, dated, industry-related news content above and beyond links, forums, troubleshooting tips and reader contributions before media badge request. No corporate blogs will be considered.

Broadcasting Titles:

  • Anchor
  • Broadcast Producer
  • Camera operator
  • Host
  • Reporter
  • Sound engineer

Market Research Titles:

  • Analyst
  • President
  • Program Director
  • Vice President

Note: Press credentials are reserved for editorial staff and analysts. Press credentials will not be issued for publication and research employees with the following types of titles:

We reserve the right to refuse media badges, without cause, during pre-registration as well as onsite media registration. Please be advised that, due to high demand, media badges are limited in number. Only commercial news outlets, major analyst firms and leading industry bloggers will be issued media badges.

Media Center Hours and Meeting Space

Media Center hours during the event will be as follows:

Monday, November 2
Tuesday, November 3
Wednesday, November 4
Thursday, November 5
8:00 am - 5:00 pm
7:30 am - 5:00 pm
7:30 am - 5:00 pm
7:30 am - 12:30 pm


Pre-reservation requests for meeting space has now closed. Reservations can now be made on-site during the show on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Media Center may only be used by registered exhibitors, representatives, press and analysts.

The Media Center is located in Room 113.

VoiceCon Recording Policy

You may film keynotes for your own record of the event, but the content of our conference is how this event supports itself. Please do not upload videos to any public site such as YouTube or Vimeo. If you film workshops or conference sessions, clips posted online should be limited to 10 minutes in length. All photos and videos must be appropriately cited with VoiceCon San Francisco as the location and/or source.
